Saint James Anglican Church is a designated Class “A” heritage building, the highest-class designation, under the Quebec Religious Heritage Council. In 2000, Saint James Church underwent its first major restoration of the foundation, bell tower and other minor repairs. In 2021, the St. Francis’s Deanery Heritage Committee retained the services of heritage experts in architecture and engineering who completed a work plan which includes a new electrical and mechanical system, restoration of exterior windows and new wood siding.
The Committee is launching a campaign with the objective of raising $350,000.00
